Blast From The Past: Commodore 64 Game Site!

I was unfortunately born too late to enjoy the rounded edges, big bulbous keys and sheer delicious mass of the Commodore 64. My first computer was a Pentium 256… the number may have even been lower. Actually, my first “computing machine” was this weird electronic type writer that my parents bought me because they were afraid of what the big bad internet would do their son…. or the other way around. Well look at me now! They didn’t have anything to worry about did they? >D -cough- Yea.

Anyway, when talking to a friend about.. I’m not sure what we were talking about to bring up this subject (video games obviously but the details escape me) but the words “Giana Sisters” were spoken across the vast expanse of today’s phone lines to grace my ear. Of course, me being the oblivious dip that I am said something to the effect of “wha?” The resounding gasp and lecture that followed told me that I need to learn to maintain control of my “dense responses.” I digress though, basically, Giana Sisters is a game that was produced for the Commodore 64 and not only rips off Mario Brothers but also wears the suit in which they stole. Check out the Wikipedia links below for more on Nintendo’s violent and censor worthy thrashing they gave the sisters.

The point of this post is this; my friend sent me a link to a place where I could play the Giana Sister game and it turned out I could, on a website, that offers many, many, many more Commodore 64 games! And as I found a trick in the second level of the Giana Sister game I figured I would share this pretty neat site with our readers! See? Aren’t we nice here at PC Gamer FTW?!
